Hey Unfiltered Folks,

  1. “I FINALLY DELEGATED AND NOW EVERYTHING IS WORSE.”

Answer: Yes, everything should be worse, but not catastrophic. It will never be the same way as “you” would have done it. You need to train the team, then let them do it. You need to let them fail and not get fired.

Your Question: Have you trained them? Have you practiced and praised them?

Why is this happening: If you are the answer to every escalation, you own everything and no one can “win” in their own eyes or find a way to shine.

    What to do:
    1. Create the SOP (standard operating proceedure).
    2. Train them on what to do, what is expected and how to measure success.
    3. Find ways to let your team shine in front of each other and in front of the client. Then let them shine (do not steal the spotlight).

Remember, Leaders point the spotlight at the team and only at themselves to take the hit for the team.
